Description
Blakley Electrics manufacture a range of Enclosure Isolators, outdoor, TP&N and 4P, rated up to 630A, designed to supply tower cranes and other items of heavy plant. Wall mounting, sheet steel, padlockable enclosures provide protection to IP 54.
The range has been extended to include models with two outgoing MCBs, which are intended to supply twin cage hoists.
All models incorporate a 32A 230V MCB / RCD to supply local floodlights, etc.

Technical Information
SRC series of high current Modular Residual Current Device (MRCD), configured for bottom cable entry and exit. Assembly provides
Type B RCD protection. The assembly also incorporates over current and short-circuit protection as well as a IP67 socket outlet for
auxiliary circuits.
Enclosure
A sheet steel enclosure of seam welded construction providing protection to IP54. The enclosure incorporates a projecting rain roof, side
hinged door and removable gland plate. It is protected against corrosion by a high quality, outdoor duty finishing system comprising of a
zinc phosphate pre-treatment followed by polyester powder coating, colour bright red (Vermilion, RAL 2002), mounted within a steel
crash frame.
Approx enclosure dimensions: 865H x 735W x 282D mm.
Approx crash frame dimensions: 1500H x 872W x 450D mm (not including lifting brackets).
MCCB
Fitted with a 400A 4P MCCB with switched neutral. The MCCB is adjustable from 400A to 160A and is fitted with a shunt trip.
RCD
The assembly incorporates a type B MRCD-R series earth leakage sensor with sensitivity adjustable from 0.1A to 30A and time delay
adjustable from 0 to 10 seconds. The sensor operates the shunt-trip incorporated within the associated MCCB.
Metering (only on 400ABlakSRC/OC/4P/MRCD400/KWHR/C1-RCCB/S1/CF)
Fitted with a kilowatt hour meter complete with CTs, auxiliary fuses, etc. The meter is not MID approved and will have RS485
communications onboard for use with a smart metering system. Smart metering subscriptions will be an additional cost if required.
Terminations
The incoming supply terminates directly on to the MCCB, which is shrouded to IP2X. The load cables terminate on to heavy duty stud
type terminals.
Distribution
Fed from the main switch is a 1 no. 32A SP Type “C” MCB feeding a 40A 30mA 2P Type A RCCB feeding a 32A 230V 3P IP67 socket to
BS EN 60309-2. intended to provide a local supply for tower crane lights, etc. The MCB can be connected to the supply side of the switch
to allow, for example, the supply to the lighting to be controlled independently from the supply to the crane.
